Há alguns meses, pouco antes de Portugal solicitar apoio financeiro ao FMI e BCE ouviamos alguns do nossos governantes e comentadores politicos afirmarem convictos e com ar de meninos bem comportados " nada temos à ver com a Irlanda, somos muito diferentes " ...... somos melhores.....
Dizemos-lhes nós : Temos muita pena de não termos nada à ver com a Irlanda !
Recentemente em plena crise o Ministro Irlandes em conferência de imprensa expressamente convocada informou ao Pais que:
" Sentia-se feliz de finalmente poder dar uma boa noticia aos seus compatriotas em contraponto as más notícias sobre as medidas de austeridade. Esta boa nova, era a de que Dublin em substituição dos três (!!!!) Hospitais Pediatricos que agora possui ganharia um novo Hospital Pediátrico dotado de todas as técnicas e especialidades , garantindo um melhor atendimento a população infantil."

Como ali podem constatar o Plano Funcional e o Projecto de Arquitectura do novo Hospital de Dublin são acessiveis ao publico na NET com todos os documentos de pormenor.
Infelizmente e ao contrário da Irlanda , em Portugal, tudo o que diz respeito ao Novo Hospital de Todos os Santos foi e é opaco , passou-se nos gabinetes dos gestores e da parceria privada. (não se exclui conflito de interesses)
Em fim em Portugal vivemos numa democracia de baixa densidade e clientelar ( como diz entre outros Pacheco Pereira do PSD)
Mas não nos conformemos e digamos alto e a bom som. aqueles em que confiamos o nosso voto :
Corrijam o vosso erro enquanto é tempo! Sigam o exemplo da Irlanda ...
São as atitudes em tempo de dificuldades que definem o caracter dos politicos e governantes.....
Parabens aos Irlandeses!
Quanto a nós resta a esperança... de quem luta e não desespera diz o ditado.... sempre alcança....
Felizmente temos tido a prova que em todos os quadrantes partidarios existem pessoas de bom senso.... é pena estarem afastados dos organismos de decisão.... ultima prova desta solidariedade inequivoca esta na Moção aprovada pela Assembleia Municipal de Lisboa no ultimo dia 13 de Dezembro de 2011em reunião plenária reiterou unanime o apoio a nossa causa.!

New Children’s Hospital
Enhancing quality care for Ireland's children and young people is the primary driver for developing the new Children's Hospital of Ireland. It is universally accepted within the paediatric healthcare community that the sickest children, requiring access to highly specialist professionals, equipment and facilities, need to be accommodated in one children's hospital and there is unanimous agreement that there is an urgent need for capital investment in children's healthcare infrastructure in Dublin.
The Children's Hospital of Ireland will also include an ambulatory and urgent care centre at Tallaght which will provide out-patient, day-care and emergency care services primarily for families in the south- side of the city.
An independent review of the project to build the new Children's Hospital of Ireland on the site of the new Mater Campus was commissioned by the Minister for Health, Dr James Reilly TD. The Independent Review team unanimously and unequivocally recommended the immediate implementation of plans to consolidate the current Dublin inpatient acute care paediatric unit into a single National Paediatric Hospital located on the Mater site.
Following endorsement of the report of the Independent Review team by the Minister for Health the Development Board made an application for planning. This application currently sits with An Bord Pleanála. For details of the application see www.newchildrenshospitalplanningapplication.ie
